Faiz-ul Hassan Shah – Religious Personalities of Gujranwala
Faiz-ul Hassan Shah was a Pakistani Islamic religious scholar, orator, poet, and writer. In 1911,he was born in Allo Mahar of Punjab in British India. He is also known for some Khatib-ul-Islam. Fiaz was from Husayn lineage. His Jurisprudence is hanafi. Faiz was sunni by Denomination.
He baceme the 4th President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan. Faiz struggle to establish the Islamic reforms in Pakistan. He was also a provincial president of Majlis-e-Ahrar-ul-Islam. After the death of his father, he started his religious career as leader. Fiaz began to lead the friday prayers. He also became a famous orator. He contributed to an organization Tahreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat. This organization aims to preserve the Islamic tenet of Finality of Prophethood.
Shah led the Eid prayer in the police line at Gujranwala for 20 years. From 1932 – 22 February 1984, he became Leader of the Naqshbandia Mujadadia Aminia. He Preceded by Syed Muhammad Hussain Shah and Succeeded by Khalid Hasan Shah. His main interests are Hadith, Oratory, Tasawwuf and Islamic Philosophy. He died on 22 February 1984 at the age of 72 years.
Raza Saqib Mustafai
Raza Saqib Mustafai was born on 16 March 1972 in the Gujranwala city. He is a Pakistani Islamic advocate and scholar. His wife name is Umm-e-Hamza. Raza is son of Peer Khwaja Deen Muhammad Mustafai. The religious group of the Raza Saqib Mustafai is sunni. Raza Saqib is from Naqshbandi sect.
He is the founder chairman of Idara-tul-Mustafa International organization. This organization is a religious organization that promotes the Barelvi approach to Sunni Islam. He also supports the Sufi practices of Malid , Urs and Bay’ah .
In November 2018, he also performed the marriage ceremony of the Pakistan Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa’s son, Saad Bajwa in Lahore. He also received Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2023. He wrote a book on Prophet (P.B.U.M) Khutbat E Seerat Un Nabi (SAW).
There are also a controversy which is famous for Mustafai. The controversy is about his visit to Australia. In 2016, he was asked to leave because of his antisemitic views. Australian Broadcasting Corporation narrated him as “a Pakistani Sunni cleric”. The Australians claim that the person who asked him to leave was same who organized the tour. That person was from the blacktown mosque.
